How we handle your family's data

This page is maintained by the GoEarnIt team to answer common security and privacy questions about the app. It describes practices and platform capabilities currently in use — it is editable content, not an independent certification or audit.

Shared responsibility. GoEarnIt runs on the Lovable platform. Some controls below come from the underlying platform; others are practices the GoEarnIt team commits to. You, as the adult operating a family account, also share responsibility for choosing a strong password and managing who has access to your kids' profiles.

Accounts & authentication

  • Adults sign in with email and password, or with Google.
  • Kid profiles are accessed via a adult-issued pairing code; kids do not have their own external accounts.
  • Session tokens are stored locally on your device by your browser.
  • If you forget your password, you can request a reset email from the sign-in screen.

What we store

  • Your account email and chosen display name.
  • Your family's members, tasks, completions, journal entries, goals, payouts, and screen-time settings.
  • Optional avatar images you choose to upload.
  • We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.

Platform & hosting

  • The app is delivered over HTTPS.
  • Data is stored in a managed Postgres database on the Lovable Cloud platform.
  • Database access is gated by row-level security and server-side checks; raw data is not exposed to anonymous visitors.
  • Avatar images are stored in a private bucket and served via short-lived signed URLs.

These describe platform capabilities currently enabled for this app. They are not a claim of SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA, COPPA, or any other certification.

Cookies & tracking

  • We use only the storage required to keep you signed in and remember the kid profile you last viewed.
  • We do not run third-party advertising trackers.

Retention & deletion

  • Your family's data is kept while your account is active so streaks, history, and wallets stay intact.
  • To delete your account or specific data, email us at the address below and we will remove it.

Reporting a security issue

If you believe you've found a security vulnerability, please email hello@goearnit.app with steps to reproduce. Please do not publicly disclose the issue until we've had a chance to investigate.
